How I came back to insulation
I learned this trade young, blowing attics and sealing basements on an insulation crew, and then I spent years doing other work. I kept walking into houses with the same drafty rooms, cold floors and hot upstairs bedrooms I used to fix, so I came back, and in 2021 I started Apple Valley Insulation Company here in Apple Valley.
Most of our calls come from people in older houses who want a straight answer, along with some property managers and business owners. What I care about most is finding what's wrong before we cover it up, because fresh insulation over a leak or a wet spot just hides the problem. I'd rather answer the same question three times than have you agree to work you don't really understand.

We seal the gaps before we insulate
We close the gaps around can lights, pipes and the attic hatch first, a step called air sealing, because insulation laid over a draft just keeps fighting it. That way the heat you pay for stays in the house instead of slipping into the attic.
Ask as many times as you need
No question is too small, and we'll go over it again until it makes sense before you decide anything. If part of the job belongs to another trade, we'll tell you straight and help you plan around it.
